Slack Already?

No I swear I'm doing a good job at blog... maybe. Ok so I'm still quite new to this so I have been forgetting to take enough photos but I've definitely been working on things.

 

Cute breakfast with my boyfriend. I made a few different jams over Christmas to give as presents and this pink grapefruit marmalade was one. Super delicious with panettone star toast and a black coffee. I'm really glad all the delicious Christmas food is on sale at the moment. Now I get to enjoy supper yummy food at a much better price just because it's after the holiday.

 I managed to have a whole day off so I made lots of different sushi. I even made the tamago yaki (egg roll) from scratch with a square pan. I keep forgetting to take step by step shots. It's really fun to make the egg rolls and quite easy after you get the hang of it. the other sushi I made was chicken teriyaki and a tuna salad.
No doubt I'll make more in the future and post about it properly.

My work is currently having a sale and I bought these super adorable copper cookie cutters. I'll definitely have to do a whole post with these little guys. I love cookie cutters and have quite a big collection of them. I love different shapes for different occasions or just to make things interesting. I think almost everyone likes cookies and if you put a bit of time and care into them, make them cute and appealing, they're sure to make everyone happy.




So I've definitely been trying to keep to my every day cute resolution. ... Resolution? Sure, that's what it can be. I've got heaps more planned and need to get into a habit of taking more photos (in better quality and not from my phone) and posting more often. 
Well I can only keep trying. If anyone is reading this please put up with my sub par blogging just a bit longer.

Happy New YearBlog

It's 10:30pm on the first day of 2013.
I've finally decided, after much umm-ing and ahh-ing, to create my first blog. Stumped for a title I chose what I am currently wearing, my fav strawberry gingham dress. I've no idea really what to expect from this but after following so many great bloggers I thought it might be time to give it a go myself... If only for myself at this stage too haha.

So welcome to my blog.

I guess I'd better post a little about myself at this time.
I live in a small coastal town in Central Queensland in Australia. 99% of the time it's very hot, the other 1% it's even hotter and I hate the heat. It's a match made in heaven really haha. I have two jobs which take up a lot of my time but I enjoy them quite a lot. I work in a kitchenware store and at a piercing studio (total polar opposites). I love my jobs and I get to learn so much every day.
Things that I do enjoy are cute things! Cute food, cute fashion, cute homewares, taveling to cute places, cute things in general. I love making things look adorable where ever I can.

Ok then! I've decided to make this blog all about making everyday life a little more cute!
I know there are already pleanty of blogs about this but I don't care. I want to do this for me and make me happy in my tiny super heated town. With any luck I'll be making be making cute food and fixing up my house to look as cute as possible.

So be prepared for some what regular posts of all sorts of different things. I'll try to keep it interesting I promise haha.
